Doug Schembri, together with his wife Susan, are the owners and operators of a world renowned equine facility in warm central Florida. With over 40 years experience in the equine industry, Doug offers unprecedented experience in breeding, training, sales, marketing and development of horse programs throughout the United States and Internationally. Over the years, Doug has created successful programs in the Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred, and Appaloosa Horse industries.

Doug's experience can be seen in his state of the art horse facility, which includes all of the amenities necessary to breed and care for high quality horses year round. From training, fitting, and breeding to equine rehabilitation, excellent care is an utmost priority. Doug combines cutting edge technology with years of horsemen's experience to create a well rounded equine program to service all facets of the industry.

Char-O-Lot Ranch and Doug Schembri currently offer boarding, mare care, breeding, foaling, yearling development, sales prep and lay-ups. We have over 60 acres of Centaur fenced paddocks and pastures for excellent turn-outs. Also offering European exerciser, ponying and swimming for the development of a custom designed program for each individual. Sunny SW Florida is an ideal climate in which to raise and condition horses. We are centrally located within three hours to Gulfstream, Calder, Hialeah and Ocala.
